AL holds citizen condolence meeting Wednesday

Awami League will hold a citizen condolence meeting in memory of Dr MA
Wazed Miah, a nuclear scientist and husband of the prime minister
Sheikh Hasina, on Wednesday, a party press release said.
The meeting will be held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre at 4pm as part of its three-day mourning that started on Monday. National leaders, friends and former colleagues will highlight
the
illustrious life of Dr Miah.
He died in Dhaka on Saturday after prolonged illness.
the AL on Tuesday organised special prayers for the salvation of the departed soul at mosques, temples and churches across the country.
It will publish a souvenir on life and work of Dr Miah. Write-ups have been invited from colleagues, relatives and others who happened to come across him.
