AL declares three-day mourning programmes

Awami League has announced three-day mourning programme over the death
of Dr M A Wazed Miah, the husband of prime minister and party chief
Sheikh Hasina who died on Saturday.
The central working committee at a meeting took the decision on Sunday afternoon.
"Awami Leauge has planned to observe three days of mourning to pay tribute to Dr Wazed Miah," said party spokesman Syed Ashraful Islam after attending
a meeting at the prime minister's official residence, Jamuna.
The progammes include holding doa and milad mahfil at the party headquarters on Monday, offering special prayer at mosques, temples and churches across the country on Tuesday and arranging citizen commemoration meeting on Wednesday.
The party flag will fly at half mast at party offices during mourning days and party leaders and activists will wear black badge.
