14 injured as BNP clashes with cops

At least 14 people were injured when police barred a BNP procession in the capital's Kotwali area marching towards Dhaka district administration to submit a memorandum as part of their national programme.
The injured include three police men with Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Aminur Rahman, 10 BNP men and an ETV cameraman.
The clash took place when police charged batons on the BNP men marching towards the capital's Tantibazar area. The BNP men also hurled brickbats to the police leaving three police injured.
BNP has been staging a memorandum submitting programme in every district and upazila headquarters protesting terrorism, transfer and job cut at educational institutes.
Meanwhile, BNP staged demonstration and hold rally at Barisal district.
They also submitted memorandum to Barisal district administration and Kurigram district administration.
