A High Court (HC) bench today refused to hear the writ petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia challenging the legality of the government notice to cancel the allotment of her Cantonment house.
The bench of Justice Mohammad Anwarul Haque and Justice Farah Mahbub refused to hear the writ petition filed by Khaleda Zia.
Senior judge of this bench Mohammad Anwarul Haque told lawyers that when he was an official of the law ministry he dealt with the file regarding the allotment of Khaleda Zia's Dhaka Cantonment house and gave opinion on this matter.
He also said, now he should not entertain the writ petition involving the allotment of the house.
Chief
Justice MM Ruhul Amin referred the petition to the bench yesterday for
hearing as three separate benches of the High Court earlier felt
embarrassed to hear the same petition.
