The cabinet today approved in principal that only the state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) will have the terrestrial facility.

A regular cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair also decided that the president will be the chancellor of seven universities in which the prime minister was the chancellor.

Out of 31 public universities of the country, prime minister was the chancellor of seven universities.

Sheikh Hasina talked about her Saudi trip at the meeting.

"Hasina told the meeting that she asked for two dormitories for the hajj pilgrims, which the Saudi king assured her," Prime Minister's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said at a press briefing after the meeting.
