Main opposition BNP will hold a protest rally at
Muktangan Wednesday against the notice served on party chief Khaleda
Zia to leave her Dhaka cantonment house, a party official said Tuesday.
The student front Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal will also hold a rally at the central party office at Naya Paltan Tuesday afternoon, party deputy publication secretary Muhiuddin Khan Mohan told bdnews24.com.
Other associate organisations were also launching protest programmes, he said.
Khaleda's lawyer Mahbubuddin Khokan told bdnews24.com BNP was preparing to petition the High Court on reviewing the notice.
"The notice has no legal basis," he said.
The Cantonment Board Monday afternoon served a notice on Khaleda to vacate the 6 Shahid Moinul road house by 15 days.
Earlier on April 8 the cabinet cancelled the lease on the house citing legal faults.
