Dhoni is preparing his side to play the second Test against England in Mohali

India have pulled out of their planned cricket tour of Pakistan in the wake of November's terror attacks in Mumbai.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni's side were due to visit Pakistan in January and February next year but have cancelled the tour on the advice of the Indian government.

Pakistan have not played Test cricket this year and have played just 21 one-day internationals as top teams refuse to tour because of safety concerns.

The Pakistan Cricket Board fears the decision could cost them £13m.
